When the rolling shutter door suddenly stops working, check if the motor is overheating. Generally, motors come with an overheating protection device. If the electric rolling shutter door is used for an extended period, the motor may overheat and stop working mid-operation, rendering the switch commands ineffective. In such cases, simply stop operating the door and wait for the motor temperature to drop. It usually takes about 10 minutes to resume normal operation. If the door still doesn’t work after 10 minutes, contact the rolling shutter door manufacturer and seek professional repair services.
When the electric rolling shutter door rolls too far, simply adjust the limit switch. The limit switch is located next to the motor and is connected to the motor gear, controlling the height of the rolling shutter door.
If the electric rolling shutter door gets stuck during operation, it may be due to damage to the drive chain. Adding lubricant or replacing the chain can solve the problem. However, chain replacement should be performed by professionals.
